Cory McLaughlin was beaten to death by his adoptive mother. other signs of abuse on his body were burns on his hands from hot water and bruises on his head, back and stomach. Cory's 8 year old brother had been removed from the house months earlier because of suspected abuse. Cory was only four years old.
