Beef Stew Bake

1 1/2 lbs. stew beef
2 Tblsp. cooking oil
1- 10 1/2 oz can mushroom gravy
1 c. tomato juice
1/2 c. water
1/2 envelope onion soup mix
1 tsp prepared horseradish
4 med. potatoes, peeled & quartered

Brown meat in hot oil; drain fat. Combine 
all but potatoes. Place potatoes in 2 quart 
casserole and top with meat mixture.  Bake 
covered at 350 degrees until meat and potatoes 
are tender (1 1/2-1 3/4 hrs). Stir once or 
twice during baking.
