Highlights of Canada 2002

<----- Lets start out with a picture of an ugly pike.  We don't like pike in our family.  They're too slimey and way too many bones.  We don't feel that the work it takes to clean them is worth it for the food we get in return.  Therefor, we hate them.  All they do is break our lines, steal our bait, and aggrivate our dog.  He bit one once.  Anywya, note the look on my dad's face.  Haha

<----- I like this picture because of the colors in the reflection in the water.  It's just another picture of the French River, where we stay.  It's such a pretty river though.

<----- My Aunt Cathy and cousin Bobby chillin by the little waterfall at the dam.  This is some of the prettiest scenery of the whole vacation.

<----- Here's another shot of my cousin and aunt fishin off the little waterfall.  Around the corner to the left theres a much bigger waterfall, but I don't have any good shots of that.  I wish we had stuff like this where I live.

<----- Here's a good shot of Me and Bob's night-time cook out.  We were serving shoe.  Actually Bobby decided he was gonna burn these shoes before we left Canada, because they were old and falling apart anyway.  However, this was still in the middle of the vacation, and he actually wore these shoes to our campfire that night.  It was sort of a "spur of the moment" decision that he made, to take off his shoes and burn them that night.  It smelled pretty bad but it was fun to watch.

<----- Bob's trophy bass.  This was the biggest one of the summer.  We measure our fish in inches instead of weighing them like, I guess, a lot of other people do.  If I remember correctly, it was 23 inches.

<----- Here's my dad walking back from fishing off the dam.  I like this picture cuz it makes him look like a little boy.  It's cute. :)

<----- Here's another classic Canadian sky picture.  I love these.  The sky seems so much bigger up there.

<----- This is the fireplace that Melanie, Bobby, and I built.  We took apart the one we built last year and started all over again.  I think we did an awesome job.

<----- Yet another beautiful sky / river picture.

<----- Here's a really cool cloud picture.  It's almost enchanting how pretty the sky is up there, at any time of day.

<----- One of the downsides of bein there is the bugs.  There's killer horse flys, deadly mosquitos, and huge spiders.  This spider was about the size of my fist.  Cute eh?

<----- Here's Melanie holding up here trophy bass.

<----- My dog learned how to open the cooler and pull out his bag of dog treats with his teeth this summer.  Not a bad little trick if you ask me.

<----- Here's my dog, again, this time sitting on the cooler.

<----- Here's my dad with a HUGE BASS!  Just kidding.  It's actually a sheephead.  I've yet to catch one of these, but my dad manages to catch one every summer.  We don't eat them, but I think they're cool.  Their name alone is cool.

<----- Here's how Melanie, my dad, and Bobby spent about half of the vacation.  Staring at the tv, fighting over Bobby's xbox.  haha

One thing that was on this trip that I do not have a picture of, is our baby river rat.  We caught him running around outside in the rain, so we brought him in to our porch.  He eventually escaped by chewing two perfectly round holes in the bottom of the little box we put him in.  Very clever.  Anyway, he was very cute, but I was a little too nervous to hold him in a way that I could take his picture.  lol
