Drawings
I've always loved drawing for as long as I can remember.  In preschool, we'd have this thing called play time where everybody would have to go and pick a colored shoelace, and the colors of the shoelaces represented an activity.  I never wanted to play with the other kids so I would always take the white shoelace.  The white shoelace represented drawing.  I used to take little toys with me to school every day - stuffed animals and such - to use as models for my drawings.  Some of them actually weren't bad.  Maybe in the future I'll put some of my earlier drawings up here.  For now these will just have to do though.  They are in order from when I did them.  I never know what to draw anymore.  I had a drawing class in high school, and I loved it simply because the teacher would give me things to draw.  I did some of my best drawings in there (maybe I'll post some of them in the future).  Probably because she would always try to challenge me.  I think im driven by challenge.  When I do drawings just for myself they never seem to turn out as good.  Oh well..  Most of these drawings are from this year but not all of them.  If anybody has any ideas of stuff for me to draw that might be challenging let me know!

<--------- This is from way back in like, 9th grade or so... I drew it for a friend of mine cuz he was a big surge fan.  This is a picture of it hanging on the wall in his dorm.  I found the picture in one of my directories while I was going through some old pictures and stuff.  I'm not sure of the date of this one.  9th grade was back in '97-'98 so probably somewhere around there.  Anyway, it's pretty small cuz it was just a little piece of a bigger picture.

<--------- I drew this one for my friend Drew back in June 15th of 2001.  It's St. George and the Dragon.  I was sitting around one day tryin to think of something to draw, and he suggested this... So I found a cool lookin picture online, and I drew it for him.  Anyway, he scanned it for me so I could put it up here. (Thanks dude!)

<--------- This is my Tyler Durden.  I'm kind of a little bit obsessed with that movie, so I wanted the first drawing in my little "sketch book diary" to have something to do with it.  I never really noticed how much Brad Pitt looks like a monkey until I stared at his face long enough to draw it.  This didn't come out exactly perfect or anything, but I was kind of sick of working on it and I wanted to move on...

<------ I don't know why I wanted to move on to something like THIS.... but it was kinda fun workin on it kind of subconsciously while I watched tv and stuff.  It's no specific person's eyes or anything like that.  I was kind of just mad at myself for never being able to draw two eyes that looked the same, so I thought I'd practice.  But if you really look at people's eyes, nobody's left eye looks exactly like the right anyway.  So I don't know why I was obsessing over it.  These eyes weren't ment to look realistic or anything.  They were just supposed to match eachother.   haha

<---------- Tree's are probably my favorite thing to draw.  I don't have much of an imagination when it comes to drawing things.  I usually like the object or whatever, to be right in front of me.  But with trees it's not neccessary, cuz no two trees look the same.  None of my trees ever seem to have leaves though.  I like sticking spooky winter-looking trees in the middle of summer or spring scenes.  It's kind of like a trademark I guess.  Of course winter-looking trees and dead-looking trees are almost the same.  I think dead trees are kind of pretty.

<------ I just wanted to play around with shading a little bit when I did this one.  There's not really any explanin to do here.

<--------- This isn't supposed to be any specific person or anything.  It was just me wishing it was warm enough to go climb a tree.  It's kind of cartoony, which I don't usually do, but I kinda like it.  The date on this one is actually wrong because I wrote 2-23-02 when it was actually done 3-23-02.

<--------- I just did this one for fun.. I was looking for a picture of a st. bernard (the dog) online so I could add it to my desktop collage (this was a long time ago) and I came across this picture.  It's actually a replica of Napolean Bonaparte Crossing the Alps by I liked it and decided to bookmark it so I could draw it later on.  So then I did.

<--------- I found this picture online somewhere (minus the words) and I just really liked it for some reason so I decided to draw it.  Then when I finished drawing it, it kinda seemed to me like the kid was hiding from something, or afraid of something.  So thats where the captions came from.

<--------- My ex-roomie, Amanda, took a drawing class this past semester, and one of her assignements was to draw "love".  I thought it was a cool idea, so I decided to do one.  But hey, take this with a grain of salt.  I'm not really THAT demented.

<--------- This is Rogue from x-men.  My friend Tara actually has natural hair like this.  I wonder if anyone calls her Rogue. Hmm...

<--------- I'm sure all the babies of the 80's out there remember garbage pail kids. I found one of my old ones while cleaning, so I drew it. Those things were awesome.

<--------- This came from a picture I found on this web site.  I liked it so I drew it.  I like drawing stuff like this cuz its more fun for some reason and it always comes out cool.
