Well a lot has happened since my last entry. I finished school. That's probably the biggest one. Finals went ok. I got a B- in Constitutional Law. That was one I was weary about. I did a Voll Hottub party. That was some fun. I got to see my old buddy Mike Drozd, who I hadn't seen in over 2 years. I got another tattoo, a 7 inch tribal design on my right arm. It's pretty badass. Then I relocated back to Cuba for the summer. I spent two days in Norfolk. Then flew down here on the 8th. I was actually the first college kid out of my gang to come back. Some aren't coming back, some won't get back for a few more weeks. I got a new job here though. I work at my old stomping grounds, the GTMO Youth Center. I still remember running though that place as a kid. It pays pretty good and the day seems to go by pretty quick. Though I'm sure that will change as the day changes to the full day program when summer vacation starts for the kids. Anyway, it's gonna be interesting to see how things will be going. I'll keep you updated.

I know, I know. It's been too long since I've written in this thing. But GTMO Josh doesn't really have time to make entries. I been working still for Youth Activities, I've been moved to the Teen Center where I deal with 6th-7th graders. That can be a test sometimes. I'm halfway done my stint here now. I'm finishing up this Biology class for college and I play softball a few nights a week. I try to train as much as I can, keeping my body in shape and eating right. Hard to believe that in two months I will be back in school at Kean University. That will be a culture shock after spending so much time here. I like my current stint in Cuba. It's had its ups and downs but overall it is a good experience and I'm coming out of it with a nice chunk of change in my pocket, some stories to tell and some new friends I've made. I don't know if I'll be coming back here at Christmas time or not. Time will tell if my parents get the extension they want. I hope that the last few weeks of my stay here are good. I had only two bad weeks here so far. I'd hate to leave here with a bad taste in my mouth. But this is the kind of place where one thing can sour the whole experience. A lot of that has to do with some asshole jarheads and the way they treat people down here. If they only knew who's yard they were messin in. Just gotta keep the odds in my favor.

Time can be a weird thing. Like I know two months isn't a long time but it seems like everything I did before I came down here was so long ago and in a different life. In a way it was, Jersey life and Cuba life are two different things. But soon I'll go back to Jersey life and on top of that, college life and on top of that, campus life. Cuba life is hovering on sucktitude here, people I actually like are either bein weird or leaving the island. Not cool. But I'm here for money, and I'm makin a lot of it. And I'm gettin in touch with people who will help me out later in the long run with a career. So I should make it into a decent job after nailing down a bachelor's and then a master's. Could be an NCIS agent in a few years. That will be cool, I talked to a few people about that already. I guess this fall will be kinda cool. Back at Kean I'll try and get out more and life better. Should be good, especially with some weekend fun at John's when I get back.

In ten days I'll be back in Jersey. Seems like so long ago that I just got down here and was saying hi to everyone again. Now I'll be saying bye. I won't miss work though. Fucking kids get on my nerves. And their taste in music sucks. Not so much what they listen to, is that they are only 12. Man, I've turned into someone I said I was never gonna turn into, someone who gives a rats ass about kids. Actually I give more a rats ass about how they kids act and how it makes me look. Like I run a bad teen center. Oh well, I'm done work in two days, then I take a two week vacation. One week here, one week in Jersey, then I move back to Kean on the 4th of September. Word on the street id that I'm gettin a new roommate. Rodney might not be comin back. I wish him the best, whatever his reasons are. I wonder how my first night back in NJ will be and what I will be doing.

Man, what a weekend. The GTMO community can sure attest to the kind of stuff that went on here at Stately Josh Manor. Debauchery, tomfoolery, cool stuff. Nothing brings people together like a bunch of people sittin around boozin and playing games after doing the same thing at the windjammer. I guess this was the correct way to close out my summer stint here in GTMO. I did my last day of work, my last big dinner, and my last radio show. A lot of lasts. I hope I get to see all the people I've made friends with over the summer before I leave here. Having people over to watch WWF RAW tonight. The next four to five days will be blasting by and before I know it I'll have forgotten all about my life here and pick up my life in Jersey like I never left. That's always a weird feeling. I get this mindtrip after I drive the roads of Jersey just days after driving the roads of Cuba. But I'm gonna love getting back, not so sure about going back to school yet. I know South Jersey is fun, but North Jersey isn't always the great experience of fun. I hate making the trip to the computer lab. And having to study. And actually going to class. But the class isn't that bad if there's a cool chick in there...which only happened in one out of my six classes. But the more you stay somewhere, the more cool people you meet. Let's hope that tradition keeps it up the more places I go.
