Miranda - The Tempest - 1916

Welcome to the second room of my
Waterhouse "Museum."

This page is simply a display of some
of the works of John William Waterhouse,
an artist of the late 19th Century.
He is second,in my esteem,
only to Maxfield Parrish in terms
of the beauty of his works.

Hylas & the Nymphs - 1896

The first time I saw a painting
by Waterhouse was, as far as I know,
on the Net. I spent months
trying to find out who the artist was.
Finally I saw a number of his works posted
in a newsgroup (thanks to GemDragon!),
and his name was quickly copied.
I launched a search and found over 400 sites
where he was mentioned.
(I have yet to see even a fraction of them,
but time will tell!).

The Mermaid - 1901

But I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.
I'll post a few at a time,
and that way the page(s) won't
take forever to load.
Also, remember that I don't know a thing
about the copyrights on these images,
if any.

If these are copyrighted, let me know.
