In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
In his glory, he brought forth a plethora of flora and
wildlife to beautify his creation.
He created the clouds and wind to caress the soil.
He created the Sun, the Moon and the stars in the sky
so they could inspire awe in all who gaze upon them.
And from deep inside his heart,
he created the human race and instilled in them-emotion:
An emotion to love by, and to be loved
An emotion to cry
An emotion to laugh
An emotion to sing
An emotion to grieve
An emotion to care.
He touched the heart of every soul born unto earth.
With his touch, he gave a key, separated into two pieces,
placing one piece in a male child, and one in a female.
Through their lives, their paths would change,
but true love could only be found
by joining the hearts of two such pieces.
Many would try to find the second half of the key
(even though they didn't know they were searching)
and would fail.
Their souls would cry out in the night.
And there are those who found their key,
but their mates had passed on into heaven's gates.
Their souls grieve and their tears fall to the earth.
And some would find their mates,
but they had already joined with another.
Their souls would care,
and they would watch over and care for them as friends.
And then there are those lost souls who have yet to meet.
Their souls are crying, laughing, singing and grieving.
They yearn to love, and to be loved
and the ache burns deep inside their hearts.
Their tears fall like rain to the earth,
and the Angels weep with them, but cannot assist them,
for their fate has already been determined.
Eternity is upon me,
and I continue to search mournfully in the night,
for the other half of the key.

~Love is when he/she calls you just to hear your voice.
~Love is when he/she lets you order mushrooms & onions
~Love is when you sit up all night talking about your innermost feelings.
~Love is when he/she truly listens.
~Love is when you sit closely, side-by-side even when there is plenty of room.
~Love is when you write him/her poetry & use the word "forever"
~Love is when you smell him/her on your clothes, & it fills you with happy memories.
~Love is when you smile 1st & last thing each day just because he/she's part of you.
