Niflheim, situated on the lowest level of the universe is a land shrouded in icy fogs and mists. Murderers, oath breakers and philanderers will be your company here while you spend eternity trapped in it's darkness and cold. For once entered there is no escape. 

The only refuge you will find is in Helheim which is ruled over by Hel, the monstrous daughter of the trickster god Loki and his mistress Angrboda. This cold, dark and misty abode is surrounded by the impassible river Gjoll, that flows from the spring Hvergelmir beneath the tree Yggdrasil. It's only entrances guarded by Garm , a monstrous hound, and the giant Hraesvelg who in the form of an eagle with flapping wings causes the winds to blow. 

WAIT ! Before entering Helheim I must tell you that I have received a message from Odin himself. It appears he has taken a liking to you and decided to put your fate into your own hands. He has sent the Valkyries (mighty warrior maidens) to accompany you back to Asgard if that is your wish. Or if you so choose they will guide you past Garm and Hraesvelg ensuring safe passage into Helheim. Where you may relive your death again and again with no hope of salvation.
