As the days pass
And the future begins
I look at my lessons
That life has taught me well
I look upon Hope,
What it is to bear it
What it is to know you've reached it
What it is to never lose it
I look upon Faith
And how one person's
May differ from mine
Yet we all lay our lives in it
I look upon Happiness
Whether it be a child born
Or a new friend found
Happiness should never be faked
I look upon misery
How it helped me become strong
How it helped me realise
What Hope, Faith, and Happiness are
Now the great adventure lies forth,
To find amoungst these three daughters
The root that holds them together
As if it were their mother
The crown amoungst all
That escaped me
For a long time;
--that is love
