Fred and Margaret were having coffee when the weatherman on the radio announced a snow emergency and said motorists must park their cars on the odd-numbered side of the street. Dutifully, Fred got up and parked the old Dodge accordingly.

Two days later, they were enjoying their morning coffee when the announcer reported another snow emergency and said motorists must now park their cars on the even-numbered side of the street. Once more, public-minded Fred obeyed.

Three days later another snow emergency was declared with the radio weatherman claiming drivers must now park ... well the power went out and Fred asked Margaret what he should do.

"Aw, Fred," she said. "Just leave it in the garage."
