After a few weeks of rest in Greece, I did make it to Turkey for some shopping ! This picture was taken after purchasing a sheepskin jacket from Benny of "Benny's Shop". The Turks seem to love seeing blonde women, and this was to my advantage as I negotiated a lower price on my new coat !
Walking through the city streets, we came upon a celebration that was rather peculiar. A convoy of horse-drawn carriages were explained to us to be a celebration of manhood for a young boy who had in fact, just been circumsized! A close look at his hands show the truth... they were slightly bloodied.
