'Never Alone'

In a frenzied flash of pain,
I still thought about you.
Wondering what you were doing just then,
and where your thoughts were, too.

Beneath the shadow of a dark hand
I still felt you close to me.
You wanted to hold me safe from harm,
and to ward off my enemy.

The moment passed with blinding fright
and then suddenly the blackness was gone.
And when I looked down, I still held your hand,
you made sure I was never alone...

'Imagine'

Imagine a chorus of Spring bluebirds,
all draped in goldspun cloth so new.
Their voices carrying over the rainbow,
a musical archway in beauteous hue.

Imagine a moment of time literally standing still,
with its' back very narrow and straight.
Raindrops stopping their flight thru stagnant midair,
while the sun's rays are beamless in this state.

Imagine snow in the Sahara, ten feet deep,
with heavy drifts against the walls of desert dunes.
Snowmen dressed in loincloth, with fire in their eyes
Melting only when the sun becomes the moon.

Imagine sweet dreams becoming our own reality
no more need for escape to another place.
Hands would reach out and actually touch each other,
all within the same warm space...

'Sometimes Words Are All That We Have'

Sometimes words are all that we have
to get us through the long days that are sad
or to express how we feel about a moment in our life
when we feel overflowing joy or unrelenting strife.

We can paint a picture that is very real,
a portrait of ourselves about the way that we feel.
Our love for another can be heard crystal clear
with words such as this, just listen and you'll hear.

Love songs begin as words that are soft and sweet
with music added later, to give it tempo and beat.
But, the words are the heart that gives them such meaning
because they can touch the souls of our entire being.

When you look for the truth in a writer's naked eyes,
take heart within yourselves and you'll come to realize
when it comes to matters that need to be said
remember, sometimes words are all that we have...

'If I Could...'

If I could...
I would hum the sweetest love song's melody,
while we held each other tight in harmony.
I would wake you every morning with a kiss,
then greet you every evening with loving bliss.
If I could...
I would brighten all of your tomorrows, every one,
and sing you to sleep each night with 'our' song.
I would chase away all of your lonely nights,
and fill them with eternal full moonlights.
If I could...
I would paint you a scenic portrait of our love,
and make real any deam of us that you've dreamt of.
I would never leave your side, even just for a day,
I'd fill your life with love in so many ways.
If I could.....................

'The Meaning Of Love'

Love transcends all time and space.
It knows no boundaries of age or race.
Love will find us more often than not,
when we don't seek it and suddenly we're caught.
Love travels near, far and wide,
there's never a place that a heart can hide.

When love enters, with pure joy and delight
Ravishment, and beauty and candlelight
When overcome with such devotion
Intense bliss and rapturous emotion
When you feel, you have met before
Maybe a previous life, this man you adore.

Love is all encompassing yet even more
Ageless and timeless feelings that soar
When in its grasp you don`t want to let go
So bathe in the enchantment of its magical flow
The river of love is sparkling and true
Close your eyes, jump into its warm rainbow hue.

'When The Moment Was Ours'

These days of dreams
I've spent with you,
shall always be
one night too few.
When the rising sun
opens it's sleepy eyes,
I can still hear
your whispered 'goodbyes'.
The scent you leave
in your wake behind,
bestills my heart
and rules my mind.
The gift you gave
will always be,
such a vital
part of me.
Remember days
such as this,
when darkness falls
and life is amiss.
We'll always have
these days so few,
when the moment was ours
and love was true...

'With My Mind'

I love to love him
with my mind,
to entice and hold him
in love's sweet bind.
I can send him thoughts
that shatter his soul,
with private words
titilatingly bold.
Soft, tender touches
from my heart's kiss,
that send him to heavenly
eternal bliss.
And when our thoughts mix
together in love's flow,
our minds become one
and our hearts continue to grow.
He loves to love me
with his mind,
he hold's me forever
in love's sweet bind...

'I Used To Watch Him'

I used to watch him,
from afar...
Listening to the
words he would use,
feeling the tone of
his voice caressing
my heartstrings, pulling
at them more and more
as time went by.
I found myself
looking for him...
discreetly devouring
all I could find
about him.
And when he would look
my way, directly, or
indirectly,
my hands would shake
and my heart would
throb madly
in my throat from
the excitement of being
so near him.
Every day began the same...
looking, hoping, wanting,
aching for a sight,
a sound, a tender morsel.
And looking for some
small signal that he knew
I was there, that he
somehow knew
I had the deepest
admiration...and adoration
for him.
One day, it happened.
I knew. He knew.
We knew.

I still watch him...

'You're Always Near'

When thousands surround me,
it's your face I see in the crowd.
Through the many sounds in life,
your beating heart is the one I hear most loud.
When I hear singing on the radio
in a lower manly key,
it's your voice that I hear sweetly singing,
always just to me.
You're always near, in every way,
no matter where you really are.
Forever closely by my side,
you're never really far...

'SpringTime'

Soon mother earth, will be birthing green
And the trees, will be breathing glory
And the buds of spring, with beauty unseen
Has mother nature, blossoming her story

Newborn life unfolds its' arms to the sky
Beseeching the sun to kiss the sweetness
Brown wrinkled plants that were thought to have died
Rejuvenate with a dance of lively existance

Pink azalea, and dogwood abloom
So intoxicating and sweet
Dancing in the sun, not the cold winter gloom
Their bouquet so invitingly greet

Day after day, the world becomes more alive
We soon feast on Spring's many pleasures
Daffodils and forsythia awaken and thrive
These are just a few of Spring's many treasures

As the lids of darkness, close to the moon
The black eye susan, winks good night
Under the stars, wind playing as a bassoon
Springtime awakens, to the sun so polite

Bluebirds sing their sweet song of spring
Engaging our hearts in pure rapture
We warmly welcome the enjoyment spring brings
For us, our hearts she has captured...

'All The Time'

He's on my mind all of the time, you know
From morning when I wake, he's my first thought
At night as I close my eyes, he is there
Never does he leave me for very far
Yet I can still never get close enough
To touch him when I ache to feel his skin
He entrances me with his deep brown eyes
Even when I can't seem them so clearly
Daydreams and nightdreams all mix together
For none exclude his presence in my heart
He told me last night that I love him so well
I replied it was because I love him so
I've come to realize it 'tis my fate
To love him for an eternity...

'If.....Would?'

If I fell,
would you catch me
in your arms,
even just this once,
long enough to
ease the pain?
Would you hold
me long into the night,
even if there
were 'naught for
you to gain?
Would my cries
of anquish even
stir one ounce
of mortal thoughts
within your chest?
Or would you just
leave me lying there,
to scatter in the wind
with all the rest?

'Anticipation' (#2)

Anticipation.....

...that raw,
hungry, aching,
gripping desire
that devours
the mind
and leaves
the body in
a wanton,
delirious state
of yearning
carnal
fever with
vivid
daydreams of
seduction
and
serenade,
intensely
vivacious
and
torridly

'One United Voice' (a Terza Rima Sonnet)

Adrift amongst the cloudy sky
Thrashing thru the turbulent air
Wanders the thoughts of you and I.

So much to see from way up there
Yet the heights scare us from time to time
Making us choose either truth or dare.

Darest we go with our hearts that align
Or choose the true safety net we have built
Throwing away what could be yours and mine?

A flowering bloom without food will wilt
With nurturing the flower will softly rejoice
But, stormy skies will cause it's life to tilt.

Take my hand as we make our solemn choice
For we shall be heard as one united voice...

'Their Life, Part 1: The Meeting'

The window pane no longer alone,
the little girl's arms stretched out at will.
Warm breath caressed the cold foggy glass,
as she sat and stared from the windowsill.

Her interest lay in the big moving truck,
parked in front of the empty house next door.
It seemed someone was finally moving in,
but, who, she was not sure.

Her finger twirled in her long chestnut hair,
as her feet anxiously tapped on the floor.
Then her attention was suddenly drawn
to the small boy that walked out the door.

He stood on the porch with a frown to his brow,
looking a little bit lost and alone.
He felt somewhat awkward and apprehensive
about this new place he was to call home.

She skipped from her house merrily,
with a bright shinning smile on her face.
And when she stepped onto his porch,
he somehow knew he had found the right place.

He was immediately drawn to her emerald green eyes,
sparkling at him as they batted long lashes.
Then he took in all the rest of her,
from her smile to her pretty pink sashes.

"Hi!", she said, "My name is Sara and I live next door",
pointing her finger into the wind.
"What's your name, from where did you come,
and will you please be my new friend?"

His eyes grew tender, at this whisp of a girl,
and a big smile broke out on his face.
"Yes", he said, "I'll be your new friend, but tell me......
haven't I known you from some other place?"

"I don't think so", she said, creasing her brow
as she looked at him in a more serious way.
"You do seem sort of familiar,
but I don't think we've ever met before this day."

"It matters not," he said with a smiling shrug,
"For we certainly know each other now.
By the way, my name is Charles,"
he said as his stomach let out a growl.

"Oh!", she exclaimed with a laugh
and giggled as she watched his face blush.
"Come with me to my house
and I'll make you a sandwich for lunch."

Then she reached out and he took her small hand,
nestling it safely in his large gloved one.
Off they went to her house next door,
for the first day together of many to come...

*NOTE*
(this is the first of a series I will be doing *S*)

'Oblivion' (a-z)

A
Beauteous moon
Cascading the softest of light,
Dancing in the
Eve, like tender candlelight.
Fairyland dreams
Give our
Hearts such peace,
Inspiring
Jubilee in our
Kisses without cease.
Lovingly tender as our
Mouths explore,
Neverending desire, we
Only want more.
Passionate
Quivers that
Ride on and on,
Sending us into oblivion
Towards our unision as one.
Undying love
Vowed in intimate
Whispers,
'X' marks the spot our
Yearning lips
Zealously capture...

'A Tear' (villenelle)

I see you sitting there,
forlorn and in pain...
A tear to your eye,
like cold, blinding rain.
My tear matches your own,
as I gaze upon you...
for when you hurt, love,
I hurt deeply, too...

© Mimi 2/3/98

'Listen To The Echoing Silence' (villenelle

Listen to the echoing silence,
it bades us from deep within.
Always seeking comforting guidance.

Lost and alone without much resilience,
no way to see how to win.
Listen to the echoing silence.

No more hiding our deepest essence,
feeling the pain of where we've been.
Always seeking comforting guidance.

Crys of anquish, disturbing in it's brillance,
a hand reaching out to fellow men.
Listen to the echoing silence.

Fear drawing up by an unwanted presence,
goodness blighted by wretched sin.
Always seeking comforting guidance.

Hands of love and reassurance
is the only real way to begin again.
Listen to the echoing silence,
Always seeking comforting guidance.

'Come Closer'

When I lightly
whisper
your name,
can you hear
the tune of love
I sing to you?
When I reach
out to caress
your skin,
can you hear
my heart
singing, too?
I can feel you
close by me now,
yet you're
still so
far away
somehow.
Come closer,
my darling,
listen to the
song I sing
and feel the
heat that
only my
touch can
bring...

'I Can Almost See It'

I can almost see it now....

The specks,
of light
in those eyes
I adore...
One look,
and I'm lost
I'll always
want more.
The tear,
when it falls
to mix with
my own...
The look,
on your face
when you
quietly groan.
The curve,
of your lip
when you smile
from your heart...
One touch,
to your brow
and I know
we'd never part.
Your hand,
as it reaches
to hold
my face...
The clock
as it stops
all time
and space...................

'The Parasite'

Ten thousand words of solitude,
a mighty fortress,
impenetrable at most.
A parasite buried deep
within a hurting heart...
how long shall it be the host?

Stranger's faces in the crowd,
fleeting moments in time
bear down and take their own bite.
Lost days in somber state
denied of even mediocre status
tell the tale of the parasite's flight.

Digging down deep,
relentless and selfish
the parasite clings and holds strong.
Refusing to budge,
taking on a life of it's own,
too soon the heart will be host for too long...

Lover
Slip your clothes off
Slide into my warm bed
Make mad passionate love to me
Don't stop

Love me
Into the night
Ride our passions full force
Mirror our movements together
Hold tight

Breathless
Delirious
Insatiable desires
Timeless moments of wild ripples
Release

Cascades
Wash over us
Blanketing our love nest
A sudden thought occurs to us
Still hard...

Naked

Glances
Smiling eyes stare
Silky skin on fire
Sweat mixing with other fluids
Aroused

Springtime
Heaven on earth
Nature and bodies mesh
Lost in the eroticism
Melting...

No better place to be, than here
With you.

'Just Another Day'

The nights are just
not the same
when I can not touch
your face or
breath your air.
A sunrise is simply
just another day
when I can not
watch it with you
beside me here.
The flowers are
so pretty,
yet they wilt
without you near.
Songs of love
can comfort me,
but never
enough, I fear.
Life continues
day to day,
but my thoughts
are always with
with you, my dear...
