Viewing as Ascii
There are two ways of viewing any of the art you've downloaded on these
pages in a normal text viewer
1st Choice:
View the art normaly in your browser. Then, after clicking on the frame
containing the art, select Save Frame As (or it may just
be Save As), from the FILE menu.
Now, to save as ascii, simply change the extension of the file from
htm to txt . You may also need
to click Plain Text in the "Save As" dialog box.
2nd Choice:
Download
DESCRIPTION
This is a program for DOS which will easily replace all the characters in an
ascii file which will be misread by a browser - ie convert it to hypertext.
Eg, all <, > and " characters will be replaced by <
> and " etc.
Alternatively, it'll convert a hypertext file into ascii - this will
allow any ascii art to be correctly displayed when seen from a normal text
viewer.
