Miss Universe 2001

Life! From Puerto Rico

Let's say this year is filled up with beautiful delegates. To choose my
favorites, I had a hard job. Even if I did, let remember that I just took
my decision with the Photogenic Photo, I didn't have any other source, not
even I've heard any interview.

With this in mind, let me tell you my favorites. Remember, that you can see
ALL the delegates, and even selecting your favorite one OFFICIALLY, by clicking

My favorite delegates: UPDATED MAY 8, with my revised group of favorites: You will find my old favorites under these lines; MY REVISED GROUP OF FAVORITES I divided my favorites into five groups: Group A Puerto Rico Colombia Philippines Venezuela Greece Group B Spain Mexico France Netherlands Aruba Group C Panama Trinidad and Tobago Estonia India South Africa Group D Slovenia Finland Sweden Peru Bolivia Group E Nigeria Costa Rica Ecuador Poland Dominican Republic My first group of favorites and what happened (if changed)
Group A: Puerto Rico - Not just because I'm Puerto Rican, I think Denise is one of the strongest delegates, so she heads my list. India - When I saw her in the preliminary competition, something happened that made me change my mind, since she was my second favorite delegate. Other girls showed more dinamism and I elected to turn India to a third group. Netherlands - Netherlands also looks fabulous, but happened the same of Miss India (would it be because Miss Netherlands parents are from India?). I elected to take Netherlands to the second group. Mexico - She seems to be a strong delegate, but because I found the strongest delegates in 5 other ladies, I decided to get Miss Mexico to the 2nd group. Ireland - What happened to Miss Ireland? She deserved to be in the Group A at my first list and now she desappeared from my 5 groups. She lasted in a fine position, but I found many other girls that can go beyond. Venezuela - Great delegate, she deserves to stay on group A. Group B: Sweden - went down to group D. Colombia - Great delegate, went up to Group A. Costa Rica - Nice delegate, went down to group E. Group C: Spain - Nice delegate, went up to group B. Greece - Incredible delegate, went up to my Group A. Group D: USA - Something similar to Miss Ireland happened with Miss USA. She maybe will be there in the semi-finalists groups, but in the preliminary competition she didn't shined as I expected. Aruba - Great delegate. Went up to the Group B. Group E: Finland - Went up to the Group D. Philippines - Great delegate. Went up to the Group A. South Africa - Nice delegate. Went up to the Group C. France - Went up to the Group B. Panama - Went up to the Group C. Nigeria - Deserves to be one of my favorite delegates. Kept on Group E. Trinidad and Tobago. Went up to the Group C. Korea. Didn't shine as I expected at the preliminary competition. Germany. Didn't shine as I expected at the preliminary competition. Lebanon. Didn't shine as I expected at the preliminary competition. Slovenia. Went up to the Group E. Israel. Didn't shine as I expected at the preliminary competition.
If I divide it by continents, the strongest delegates, for me, are: America: Puerto Rico Mexico Venezuela Colombia Costa Rica Europe: Netherlands Ireland Sweden Spain Greece Africa: South Africa Nigeria Asia India Philippines Korea Lebanon Israel
