Captain's Log Entry:
Things are finally beginning to settle on Pax. Dr Wilcox and Kevin Torquemada have been returned alive, although greatly stressed by their ordeals down below. The chief instigator for the kidnapping has been arrested, tried and convicted of serious crimes against the governing body of Pax Station and its staff and has been sentenced to the mind-wipe as recommended by Psi Corps. I do not agree with this action, but apparently my hands are tied. Tom O'Bedlam's fate was sealed when he abducted two of Psi Corps telepaths and I my agree to their decision.
Robund has given me some serious information regarding the recent political manoeuvrings on Vol'Indi. It appears that the backlash from the Civil movement against the PrimaVol, my beloved, has brought about tightened security in the general populace. Robund has informed me of several "disappearances" of certain key officials. The official story is that these people are guilty of treason against the state and conspiring in the civil movement against Rron. But Robund has recognised several of the name son the list from his Academy days and assures me that the charges against these people cannot be true.
He has brought a data crystal containing the latest information on Vol'Indi, and I am appalled by what I read. Robund fears that if he is discovered bringing this information to me, he too may disappear. While my family still carries considerable sway in the houses of power, without Rron physically on the throne on Vol'Indi, there is little which can actively be done to protect my brother.
We must find a way to discovered who is behind this latest string of events on Vol'Indi, hopefully before they have discovered his presence on Pax. I fear what they may try to do here. And I fear what this may do to the stability of the Vol'Indi government. Does this signal the end to the monarchy on Vol'Indi? And what will happen to the Volkune staff on the station when Vol'Indi undergoes this dramatic political upheaval?
I received notification today of new security personnel protocols from Volkune Space Defence Command. As they are in charge of the security detachment here at present, I must pass on the information to Sergeant Hislop. But how will his men react to the information contained therein?
