Dear Coronation Street Enthusiast.

Thank you for coming to the 6th Annual ScotiaMcLeod Easter Seal Regatta. With your help, we raised over $55,500 for children with physical disabilities this year, bringing the total amount raised over the last six years to well over a quarter of a million dollars.

Although the regatta is about fundraising, it is also about something more. Your cruise on the St. Lawrence II, Kingston's very own tall ship, provided an opportunity to glimpse the joy Easter Seal children feel on this day. As you may know, this ship is also the main vessel of our Freedom Fleet, in which children with physical disabilities get a chance to experience sailing themselves. Remember the fun you had on the boat? Well, now imagine the excitement these children built up over the last few weeks in anticipation of their adventures on board. Their smiles make any effort worthwhile.

The money you helped raised during the ScotiaMcLeod Easter Seal Regatta will provide funding for disability solutions, such as mobility equipment, home modifications and camping experiences, as well as advocacy, such as the current folic acid campaign for women of child-bearing ages.

I hope your day at the ScotiaMcLeod Easter Seal Regatta was filled with fun and laughter. Thank you, again, for helping us create solutions and change lives for children with physical disabilities.

Sincerely,

Antje Wittholz
Fundraising Coordinator
