We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Christmas, which means "Christ's Mass", celebrates the birth Of Jesus. The story of the birth of Christ is written in the Bible in the second chapter of Luke.Luke 2:1-7 states:
(1) In those days Caeser Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire roman world.
(2) (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)
(3) And everyone went to his own town to register.
(4) So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and the line of David.
(5) He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.
(6) While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
(7) and she gave birth to her first born, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Christmas is the single most important holiday and such as is celebrated throughout the world. The first celebration of Christmas in America was on December 25th, 1492 when a fortress build from the remains of the ship Santa Maria was named Nativity. Christmas was then somewhat reconized in the U.S. until the arrival of the Puritans.
The Puritans did not approve of the observance of Christmas and passed a law to levy fines against all those who celebrated the day. This law was repealed in 1681. Actual celebrations returned to the U.S. in the 19th century with the arrival of German and Irish immigrants. In 1836 Alabama officially reconized Christmas, and by 1890 it was reconized by all states. Christmas is the only religious holiday to receive this sanction.
Over the years Christmas has become a secular as well as a religious holiday. It is celebrated by many who do not profess christianity and is reconized as a time for love, generosity and helpfulness. It is a time when people remember others and share good tidings through gift giving.
For all of you have a great Christmas!
