WHO IS THE RIDGESCRAMBLER?
also known as - The Country Lady
Hey there, My Name is Juanita
I am from the mountains of Northern Arizona. I can't believe I have been back in Texas for three years. My soul misses the mountains and my Mountaineer friends back in Washington. I have ventured out to West Texas and the Davis Mountains for a week long trail maintenance trip with the Preserve there - it was GREAT!! I hiked all over the high desert of Big Bend - it was awesome! I have also been out backpacking in the Guadalupe Mountains - another beautiful place. Backpacking in Arkansas was great but the mountains are higher in West Texas - it was great to be back up on top of a couple peaks over 8000 ft. I have done trail maintenance down in Big Bend State Park - that was a hot adventure for sure!! I have explored the trails in Oklahoma - that was beautiful country as well. Who knows what awaits me in 2008. The awesomeness of the woods/mountains still keep me balanced and I know the Marvels of the Universe lie ahead.
I am the mom of two wonderful grown children

I LOVE LIFE
and think that a SMILE and a HUG are goodfor the SOUL!!

I have had many adventures during my life - I have lived in Arizona, California, Texas, Washington and now back in Texas.I have worked as a firefighter, Paramedic, Emergency and Flight RN for many years in Texas and have done the Management thing as well. I moved to Washington state in 2001 and completed my challenge of transforming a busy ED there. I have now taken on a new challenge in Texas. I now work in an Administrative Role and as a bedside RN in the Emergency Center and LOVE IT!!
I love to hike, long distance backpack, snowshoe and rock scramble all over the State of Washington and wherever there is a mountain. In addition to my outside activities - I love poetry, a good book and a full variety of music and good wine. I love sunrises and sunsets, the warmth of the sun and the splash of crisp water. I am the proud owner of "Ruby" my Harley Davidson Heritage - she is a beauty and I am learning to tame her a bit. She has only dumped me a couple of times. I look forward to riding and then backpacking/hiking in the mountains and hope to get some long road trips under my belt in 2008.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS AWAITS!!
I am always looking for a hiking/backpacking/snowshoeing/riding buddy....drop me a note if you are in the area.
HEAD FOR THE MOUNTAINS...FOR ONLY THERE ARE YOU TRULY FREE!! (for me it will be a little further to go)
