Death & All Its Glory...

Death: the end, forever sleeping, eternal sleep, 6 feet under,
to decease, demise, passing, termination of ones' life..etc..

In whatever way it is referred to, we all know one thing: It is inevitable.
Everyone is bound to die, and there is no denying that.

It is not the intention of this page to depress its visitor,
only give the site owners' opinion. It is also not meant
to insult anyone elses beliefs or religion.

Many people believe in God and in there being a Heaven and Hell. I, however, do not. I do believe there is something out there greater than us, but of which, we do not know what or why. I believe the human race, as a whole, is scared to death OF death and needs something to hold onto when nothing else seems right. I would not ever take this away from anyone. Everyone needs something to believe in and take strength from. I would never put down anyone else's belief as I would expect no one to do of my own.

People always ask me, once finding out what my ideas are, what is there after death then, if not Heaven or Hell? I tell them this: If I do not believe in God, then I cannot believe He or the Devil could send me or my soul to a Heaven or a Hell. Yes, I do think there are ghosts. I think there is reincarnation after death and we evolve over and over, learning from past mistakes and unknowingly being paired up with others who we have met before, in past lives. As the person who has been reincarnated cannot remember any of its past lives, it lives a brand new life, unaltered by anything that has ever affected it before. The ghosts come in where a soul has been stranded in between the halves of the two lives.

At the time when the others in the discussion are questioning my beliefs, I also question theirs. I ask them, How can they love and worship and cherish such an almighty God, when he is supposedly sitting above you and looking down upon you, as a mere mortal. For all they know, he could be sitting up there, laughing at the ignorant human lives which he has supposedly created. He could be watching everyone flounder around through life and, by the time they die, still not know the meaning of life. How can He sit up there and watch his very people suffer in pain and agony and do nothing? Why did he take that seventh day to rest? He could have been correcting the mistakes he made while creating.

I, for one, tend to believe only in things that can be proven and are able to be seen. I believe in The Theory Of Evolution, that we all began from microscopic bacteria and evolved into what we are today. People try to say, "Well you just contradicted yourself. You know air is there, yet you cannot see it."
Yes, of course I know air is there. Otherwise, would WE be here? No. I know that we need air to live, that I breathe it everyday of my life, and it is what sustains me. I see it move the leaves on a tree, the grass swaying under its breeze, and I have proof that it exists. I have no proof, none whatsoever, to prove of a "god".

Then there is the Bible. The holiest book ever known to man. Or so it is said. The Bible, in my opinion, is a mass of contradictions. It says all creatures under God, even those who do not believe, are still loved by him. When I was about 7, my mom had me "saved." So if God forgives every ignorant human when we die, shouldn't I be going to Heaven anyway? Even if all my life, I don't believe in him, and then I die, and it turns out there IS a god, the logical reasoning is that because I was an ignorant human, and "didn't know any better," I'll go to Heaven anyway. The way I see it is that, I don't honestly care where I go after I die. Simple as that really, it shouldn't matter, as long as you live a full life while you're alive.

For those of you who now ask, 'Well what religion are you then?':
I am what is called Agnostic. Many people've never heard this term before so I'll explain it.. In a simple form, it means that the only thing they know, is that they don't know (in terms of there being a god.)
Here's the actual definition:

First appeared 1869
: a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and prob. unknowable; broadly : one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god.

**And I feel I must add this additional paragraph. Recently someone sent me this long, detailed email wherein the author felt she was answering questions from my page here. First of all, I'm not asking any questions at all. Obviously, I'm stating MY OWN thoughts and feelings toward this subject. If I had questions, I would blatanly state them for you, and be willing and eager to read your responses. Since, however, I am NOT, I'd appreciate it if the emails sent to me were merely openminded, legitimate responses. Not declarations of why my ideas are wrong. Thank you.

If you would like to comment on what I have said, or on my beliefs, please email me. I would like to hear from and about anything you have to add.
Katherippy@hotmail.com Please put Religion as the Subject.
