VIDEO STORES GET TITANIC IN SEPTEMBER
LOS ANGELES (AP) - ``Titanic'' is on its way, and video stores are clearing the decks.
The highest-grossing movie of all time, with a box office take of more than a half-billion dollars and
11 Oscars to its credit, including best picture, debuts on video Sept. 1.
Still in the theatrical Top 10 - ``Titanic'' was No. 8 last weekend - the Leonardo DiCaprio-Kate
Winslet sinking ship romance will be released on video amid a $50 million marketing push, complete
with consumer promotions.
The video release is being promoted by a long-distance company. Also on board is a cosmetics
company that makes ``lasting color lipstick.''
The videos are expected to cost between $20 and $30.
