Music Video Fans Vote For MTV's Next Video Jock

Jesse Camp wanted his MTV and MTV Wants Jesse Camp.

Eighteen-year-old Camp beat out thousands of young people and passed grueling auditions to be tapped as the music channel's newest music vee-jay.

Viewers picked Camp as the best from six finalists. More than 4,000 people waited hours in line last week for a chance at the big time.

Camp says he's from "sorta nowhere and sorta everywhere" and prepared for his big break through years of practice at home with a hairbrush and broom handle in the bathroom mirror.

Camp also gets $25,000 for winning the new gig. He'll appear on MTV starting this summer.
