The theme "Teamwork for Precious Moments" spells out well what represents the Saint Lawrence Optimist Club for the year 1998-1999. We have already been working hard since the first of October. Our project "A Comprehensive Growth Program" has been going well. In the last two months, we have introduced three new members who we know will be an asset to our club. These people have teamwork in their hearts. In order to respond to the needs of the cities we represent, Lachine-Lasalle-Verdun, it would not be too much to ask each member to sponsor a new member for 1998-1999. The achievement, the recruitment and the motivation is all part of "Teamwork".

This year's Christmas Party was held, once again, at Huguette Poirier-Asch's residence. Our gracious host served a variety of dishes that everyone present enjoyed. The Executive and members thank Huguette for her hospitality.

This year we were involved with Nez-Rouge. I would personally like to thank the members who came out to help. I think we have made our presence felt by our participation in this worthy cause.

I am always at your call to help you in our future projects and to lift up our image in aid of our youth.
