Jen's the mystery girl who came into town from New York. She is a cheerleader at the Highschool and popular among the male student body. Jen has a past that she seems to be trying to escape. More was been revealed about the subject when Dawson asked her: Her parents had sent her to live with her old-fashion, prejudice, and racist grandmother after they were worried about her "moving too fast" in New York.

After Jen dumped Dawson abruptly and without any explanation, she went on a few dates with Highschool jock-strap, Cliff. Things didn't exactly work out between them, needless to say.

Recently she has seemed to have wanted Dawson back more and more. She has also seemed to have become more and more worrysome and jealous of Joey and Dawson's close relationship. Jen even attempted to spend the night at Dawson like Joey does. Jen tried to ask Dawson for another chance after the pageant, but she was waaay too late. He had already fallen head-over-heels for Joey.

At the start of the new school year Jen be-friended snobby rich-bitch Abby. They teamed up in a desperate attempt to gain Dawsons' affection back. Even in the early stages of their new-found friendship, the two have already had their share of quarrels. Abby's jealousy and bitchy antics drove Jen to even slap her at one point.
