These are some of my oldest and best friends from back home. I've known some of them since I was 6 years old!
This is my friend Dana at our senior prom. Isn't she pretty?? I've known her ever since the 2nd grade. We played in marching and concert band together back in high school (MITCHELL-BAKER RULES) and she's currently attending Fort Valley State University.
This is another friend of mine that I've known since elementary school. This is LaToya, Dana's cousin. She's really fun to be around, not to mention being an awesome singer! She's over there chillin' at Thomas Tech!!
And this lovely lady is one of my closest friends, Farra. I met her in the 6th grade when we were in the middle school band together. She's one of the few friends I had in high school that was shorter than me. Farra and I make up 1/2 of the "Itty Bitty Committee". She's now attending Albany State University.
Here's the other 1/2 of the "Itty Bitty Committee"--the twins Kendra and Keidra (from left to right). I met them my sophomore year (when I was 15) in high school as they went to elementary in Baker County. They're practically like sisters to me!
This is Kendra a.k.a Nee-Nee--the oldest of the two. She differs from her sister in that she's more quiet and reserved. She's now married to her beloved Norris Reese and is the mother of almost 1-year-old Keymond Nemarc.
Last, but not certainly not least of the Mitchell-Baker crew is Shawanda. We went through some serious stuff together and there's really no way to thank her for that. I haven't seen or heard from her since we graduated, but I hope she's doing well.
Three months later, I would find myself 200 miles away from everything and everyone I ever knew. There, at Georgia Southern University, I would meet new people and, in the process, make new friends. Here are some of them...
Now where would I be today without this guy--Shelton Hall. We met during band camp and he helped me out a lot during my first year (also his first year). Whenever I need something I can still always count on him. Thank you much, Shelton!
This is Jamie Rowntree, Chad's roommate and best friend since high school. I met him December '98. We share a commmon interest in unusual music and he taught me to swing a golf club (one of his favorite things).
