BACKSTREET BOYS MOVIE MANIA

from TV HITS

The Backstreet Boys kick back with a bucket of popcorn and a few
vids to natter about that great American tradition - going to the
movies!

Can you remember your first visit to the movies?

A.J: When I was about four or five I went to see Bambi - I think I cried!
Howie: Yeah, me too - I think Bambi was everybody's first film!
Brian: I saw Godzilla versus Bambi on HBO! (American version of Sky TV).
A.J: You demented kid!
Kevin: The first fim I saw was Snow White!
Nick: My first time was with one of my best friends - we saw Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Do you still get to go to the movies?
Kevin: When we get time.
Brian: I love the movies.
A.J: We go on outings to the movies all together.
Howie: The last film we saw together was in Britain actually - we saw Braveheart in Scotland. We
all really enjoyed the film but I think a lot of it was the fact that we were actually in Scotland. You
look at the land and the castles in the film, and then you go outside and see them for real. It's like,
"Wow - we're right here where all that actually happened!"

What's your favourite film of all time?
A.J: Up to now I think it's Pulp Fiction.
Howie: No, mine's The Ousiders, with all my favourite actors - Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze and
Matt Dillon... I like Stand By Me as well.
Brian: Mine's Jim Carrey's first film, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective - that stupid laugh he does!
Kevin: I've got a couple - The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump snd Pulp Fiction. And
Heat's awesome - the acting was really good and I love Robert De Niro.
Howie: I also like Big - that movie with Tom Hanks in it.
Nick: Aliens, the sequel to Alien. I like scary movies!

Who are your favourite actors?
Howie: Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman.
A.J: My favourite actresses are Jodie Foster and Geena Davis - I love her!
Brian: Demi Moore's my favourite actress - in serious roles anyway. In comedies I like Whoopi
Goldberg.
Kevin: Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro - there's a couple!
Nick: I like Sigourney Weaver, Bruce Willis, Sean Connery and Kevin Costner.

Which film always makes you cry?
Brian: Ghost - I try not to but I just can't help it!
A.J: This Australian cartoon about a kangaroo that died...
Kevin: Philadelphia made me cry big time.
Nick: It used to be The Land Before Time but then I watched Braveheart and that got me.

Would you cry at a film in front of your mates?
Kevin: You try and keep it back don't you?! I don't want all my mates laughing at me!

If you were taking your dream girl to see a movie which would you choose?
(everyone umms and ahhhs for ages)
A.J: Bed Of Roses with Christian Slater, mainly because I haven't seen it yet!
Kevin: Yeah, a romantic comedy is a good idea!
Brian: I'd saw Ghost because she might cry and you can put your arm around her...
Nick: I'd take a girl to a horror movie so she'd have to cuddle up to me!

If you could star in any film who would be the leading lady of your choice?
Howie: Cindy Crawford - except she can't act so I'd have to be prepared for it to be rubbish! It'd
be Fair Game 2 - action-packed with a bit of snogging thrown in!
A.J: Geena Davis is a babe!
Kevin: Ever since I saw Nicole Kidman in To Die For I've thought she's just awesome, so I
wouldn't mind co-starring with her. We'd be in a crazy off-the-wall movie and we'd get very
involved!
A.J: Geena Davis!
Brian: Julia Ormond from Legends Of The Fall and First Knight - I like her! It'd be similar to
Legends Of The Fall - an epic love story and I'd be the hero!
Nick: My ambition is to become a film director so I want to direct another Aliens movie and have
all the other boys in it, dressed up as aliens. And I'll have a small part in it! I'd still have Sigourney
Weaver in it too so she could be my leading lady!

Who would you like to play you in the story of your life?
Brian: Brad Pitt, because he was voted the sexiest man alive! He's very versatile as well - he
always look cool! Plus he's a really good actor.
Howie: I'd get Luke Perry to play me in a movie - or Leonardo DiCaprio or Johnny Depp. It
wouldn't be a serious film - my life hasn't been that serious so far!
A.J: (in a sultry Spanish accent) Antonio Banderas! Is he tall or short? I heard he was really short,
so maybe not him. Perhaps that guy from La Bamba - Lou Diamond Phillips. Would he suit me?
Kevin: Andy Garcia (because everyone yells that this is who he must choose!).
Nick: (Thinks forever about the question) That guy who kisses Christina Ricci in Casper - the
Casper kid, that's me!
