you get me glancing your way
i stop and stare
at that beautiful smile you wear
i get lost in your eyes
and i'm asking myself why
i feel the way i do
when i don't even know you
it feels really weird
the way i have feared
of letting you find out
because you don't know what i'm about
i'm sweet on the inside
but that i usually hide
because i'm rather shy
it's really hard for me to just go up and say hi
i try to act outgoing
but my real feelings just aren't showing
so in this note
is this poem i wrote
to let you know i feel this way
i know you don't, but that's o.k.
all i really know is i like what i see
would you please give the time to get to know me?
