Comments:
At first, this trilogy was very intriguing. The Lando subplot was interesting, the Luke/White Current plot kept me reading, and the Yevethan adversary was a new idea. But, by the second book, the Luke/White Current plot was already disappointing, and the promise of maternal information on the Skywalkers is nullified in the end. [This fact mattered more before the prequels came out, of course.] The Lando plot stays interesting until the end, were the explanation of what it's all about is not good at all, and it left me saying, "I don't get it." Regarding the Yevethan conflict, too many people die throughout this part of the plot, and by the third book, it is downright gory and revolting. The rating of 2 basically comes from the first book alone.
