Comments:
I have just read The Paradise Snare so far, so at present this is just a review of that book. My overall impression of The Paradise Snare was that is was way too big of a dose of the underside of the Star Wars universe. Some characters are almost too bad to believe, and I didn't like the "religious colony" aspect, because it reminded me of Planet of Twilight in its strangeness. What I did like was the escape from Ylesia scene, the part of the book set on Togoria, lines from the movies that were put in the book, and how Han is always so sharp, like in the movies. My last gripe has to do with the woman in the book, Bria. Being the idealist that I am, I like to believe Leia was the only real love Han ever had. So I didn't like it when Han fell for Bria. Plus, it doesn't say right out, but certain...things are implied to have happened between them, which totally undermines the "just under the surface" code of integrity that we know our hero has.
