The Trap

I try not to think,
Of the feelings I have,
For without thinking,
I can't know of the pain I have.

Yet I fell for the trap,
A familiar yet deadly trap,
I entertained an external suggestion,
And I began to think.

She had a certain something,
As a few have recently,
And possibly even indicated interest,
Yet only when he suggested it,
Did I seriously think about it.

The first thought,
Acted as a catalyst for rest,
This spark caused an explosion,
Considering her,
Brought back my other feelings,

The fragile balance was only restored,
When I saw she was no different,
And that all that had happened,
Was I had fallen in that old trap.
