What I Want

When I feel happy it is only superficial,
All my conscious wants are being met,
Yet deep down something is still lacking.
The reason for my lack of happiness,
Is realising that I can never get it.

If only my heart would see sense,
And not continually striving for the unattainable,
True happiness would be mine,
And it could last forever.
