When I Next See You

The time is ticking down,
The moment I dread is approaching,
It's a thing I fear so greatly,
That all my other worries disappear.

Any time not spend with you, my friend,
Pains me like hell itself,
And the only thing that gets me through,
Is the knowledge that I'll soon see you again.

How is it possible that I cope now,
Knowing that the next time I see you,
Is too far away,
Since instead of soon,
This time it will be never.
