1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Corn Syrup
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
4 Tbsp. Butter or Margarine
2 Cups Rice Krispie Cereal
1 Cup of Peanuts
Heat the peanut butter, corn syrup, sugar, and butter in a saucepan
over low heat. Stir as you heat it. Combine rice krispie cereal and
peanuts in a bowl. Pour hot mixture over top. Stir well to coat
evenly. Press into a greased 8 x 8 inch (20x20 cm) pan. Cut in 25 squares.
Icing (Optional)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
2 Tbsp more cocoa
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
Combine all three ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat and stir until
melted and dissolved. A small bit of water may be added for easier
spreading. Spread over above bars. Chill until needed. Cut with knife
into bars and serve.
