This is Donegal Castle in Donegal Town, County Donegal. County Donegal is the northernmost county in the Republic of Ireland, and is west of Northern Ireland. I was the last visitor to Donegal Castle for the 1999 season!
This is a view from across the water from the Bank Walk. It's the site of a monastery and graveyard, next to the Irish Tourist Board near the entrance of the town.
This is me, standing in front of the view from Ballintaggart House in Dingle, Co. Kerry. Katherine took this picture for me. I met her in Galway, and she and I went to Dingle together for three nights. She stayed on when I left for Cork, and by the sounds of it, she had a great time! Dingle was a great town and I'd like to go back there too.
Here's a beautiful view from Inismore Island, the largest of the three Aran Islands. This was taken from Dun Aongus fort which is on the west side of the island. The view is of the Atlantic ocean. How breathtaking!
I rented a bicycle from the pier when we docked in Kilronan on Inismore. This is a picture of that bike in front of An Pucan Craft Shop. I purchased my Aran blanket in this shop, and ate a smoked salmon sandwich in the restaurant across the way before hiking up to Dun Aonghus.
And one of the most breathtaking views in the world, these are the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare. I took a day trip here, during which we visited the Burren and Ailwee Caves, and had lunch in Lisdoonvarna, the match-making capital of Ireland.
