Night.  The time where dreams fly, where the subconscious can live the reality it desires, instead of what really exists.  For Elim Garak, the only Cardassian left on Deep Space Nine, his dreams involved love, a love he was certain he'd never win in the waking world.  In his dreams he saw the slim figure beckoning to him, loving him.  But it always ended the same.  Morning came, and he would be alone, desperately clinging to his fantasies, then accepting that it could never be. He might as well admit it.  Julian Bashir would never be his.
