Long Man of Wilmington
Not the best photograph in the world, but the best I could do.  Cut into the Windover hill, this long man is approx 231 feet long, which makes it the largest representation of a human figure in Western Europe. He got rather faint at one time and had to be recut in the 19th century.  It was perhaps a fertility symbol like his cousin 'Cerne Abbas'   Aerial photographs show that the figure is elongated so when viewed from the gound it takes on normal proportions.  Weird!
