The Legend of Strider Hiryu:
Strider (1989)
The legend begins as Strider Hiryu, the youngest Strider ever to achieve the rank of A-class, is brought into service by the Vice Director Matic to search out Hiryu's friend and fellow Strider Kain and kill him. Strider had previously had to kill a A-Class Strider's sister who had gone mad, and was not looking forward to killing any more friends. As Hiryu traveled around the world, searching for clues to Kain's whereabouts, he learned of the secret plot by Matic to use the 'Zain Project' to control people's minds. Using his masterful skills and his Cypher Sword, Hiryu saves the day.
Strider (1989 Sega Genesis)
The victory was short lived, however, as Monsters began appearing in a small Eastern European nation called Kazafu. The incidents quickly spread as Grand Master Meio, a being studying life on Earth from the 'Third Moon', was trying to take over the world. Hanging out on the Strider's secret base on Morales Island., Hiryu heads back into action. Whips out his blade and chop-socky's the foe. Jubiliation resumes.
Marvel Vs. Capcom (1999 Sega Dreamcast)
No rest for for the weary, it seems. Onslaught, the psychic backlash creeated when Charles Xavier (leader of the X-men) wiped the mind of his greatest foe, Magneto. Left uncheckd, Onslaught was ravishing the world when he decided it would be fun to open a portal between two worlds (The Marvel world and the Capcom world) and let participants from each universe duke it out to see which world would be destroyed. So Hiryu, along with Mega Man, Captain Commando and the Street Fighters joined with the X-men, Avengers, and other SuperHeros to ensure Onslaught would detroy neither world.
Strider 2/Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (2000)
Now it's gonna get fierce. New challenges await Strider Hiryu as new evils resurface and old evils return. Is Onslaught defeated? What about Matic, or Grand Master Meio? Or is a new threat on the Horizon to lure Hiryu back into the fray?
