As far as the solo goes.... it's in A with a lot of Wah... I don't feel
like taking the time to transcribe it. Although I recommend you just
kind of find the right key and play it. That's usually the way I do with
my band. Just know what key you're in and sort of jam, remembering the
overall thematic things. Have fun with this. If you need any help or
any other songs transcribed, let me know...

Okay, I'm not sure if Daughter has been tabbed correctly here, tuning and
all. And I've seen requests for it in the past few weeks. I got the
tuning from an interview with Stone Gossard in a guitar mag and the tab
from a guy I met at the beach. I was jamming on the boardwalk in Ocean
City, MD and this guy came up and asked if I wanted to know "Daughter" and
I said sure, so he showed me...
The tuning is as follows:
Your low E comes up to G.
Your A goes down to the exact same G.
Your D, G, and B strings stay the same.
And your high E goes down to D.
The little intro arpeggio is like this:

Alright, I finally figured it out, and I am pretty sure
this is accurate. The trick is to figure out the tuning that Stone
is using. He plays allthe open strings at the very beginning,
although I just messed around till I gotit. The tuning is: (drum
roll, please)

That's with the lowest string (low E) on the bottom folks.
After that, the chords just kind of fall into place:

the last chord). If you listen VERY closely to the intro, that's
what he's playing. The chorus figure is just as written above, with
some variations (maybe) but not much. The end of the chorus goes:

easier played with 2 guitars, one in standard tuning, along with the
bass, but I, being the glutton for punishment that I am, have
figured out a way to play it in this tunig.

This is a really weird switch in the song ("Always, keep it looooaaaded!!").
The chord pattern is C, C#, D#. Sometimes it is hard to remember to go
to this pattern. If you listen to the live Atlanta show, Mike even
forgets to hit the right chords!

This is a very simple variation to the first riff that Mike plays. He
basically plays the A note a few more times that normal and throws a simple
5th fret bend. For those of you that can't follow the notation, 5b p3 means
to bend the 5th fret to 7th (whole step), drop the bend back down and
pull off
to the 3rd fret.

Here is the solo. I am not even sure if it is worth transcribing solos. I
would like to hear some feedback from people. Let me know if this even helps
anyone to learn the solo. I know that sometimes tab is really hard to
follow.
Anyway, tackle this a little bit at a time. It really is a pretty easy solo
to learn. Just think of each part as a small riff.
