First of all, in the VIP section, they have polls up. And I checked it out myself and it cost $52.50 - $68.25. (They use the polls from CGI-World) And they have a number of polls up every month. Meaning they pay around that price every month for the polls.

Then of course, you can't forget the URL they're using! (http://www.backstreetboys.com) You have to pay for that, also! My school wants to put one up too and they checked out the prices to get the webspace and URL and it cost around $80-$200, MONTHLY! (Now that's what I call expensive!) And you have to pay extra for more webspace or something like that. And by the looks of it, the Official Site seems as though they've used a whole lot of webspace. With all the videos and pics they have on there.

That's not all! They have to hire designers for the website. Have them make the graphics and page lay-outs and stuff. There goes another chunk of money.

I hope I've sort of made your life a little easier by telling you all why we have to pay for the VIP section.
