The Backstreet Boys Family
Although none share the same parents, the Backstreet Boys are like brothers to one another! Their closeness comes from being on the road constantly with no one to talk to or to play jokes on but each other. KEvin and B-Rok are cousins, so we can't technically say they're not related by blood, but they support each other through thick and thin. Each plays an important role in the "BSB family."
Kevin is the eldest brother, and because he's a perfectionist, he wants things done right. He knows when it's time to play and when it's time to work. He loves having four younger brothers now, as part of the BSB. Kevin is sort of the calm and cool one who keeps everything and everyone under control. His "little bros" can always come to him for advice.

Howie D., or "Sweet D.," as some prefer to call him, acquired that name from his big heart and caring, albeit quiet, personality. He grew up in a family where his closest sibling was ten years elder, so itt was more like having a "bunch of mommies and daddies" around the house. Of course they took good care of him and taught him well, as he can always smooth things out if there's tension in the group.

Brian, "B-Rok," is a self-proclaimed "kid at heart," and one can usually find him shooting hoops. In fact, upon observation at the video shoot for "As Long As You Love Me," it appeared that Brian was paying more attention to balancing his basketball on his fingertip than the director! Of course he was paying attention, as his performance shows. He executed each dance step perfectly... even if his dancing partner was only a chair! He tries to have fun with life and live it to it's fullest. He claims he always has to tell his cousin, Kevin, to lighten up!

A.J. is the girl-crazy guy of this bunch. He's also the goofball of the group; he describes himeself as "different in good way and spontaneous." Because he was an only child when he was growing up, he says, "it's cool to have four brothers." He wants to have fun, and fun he has; making funny faces for the camera, showing off at performances, and always wearing purple, although he claimed his favourite colour was yellow!

Nick, who in real life is the eldest of five siblins (Aaron being one of them) is very pleased to have four older bros to hang out with. At an exclusive STARZ! interview, "Little Nicky" proudly announced, "You know how Brian's a kid-at-heart? Well, I'm a kid!" And he does the exact things kids do; he loves to play sports & video games, and say that he doesn't want to grow up!

The Boys, of course, are all about making good music that people like. And they're having fun, too. Goofing around is one of their specialties.

Like true borthers, they take care of each other. Each have their own individual personalities. But, as they say, "That's what makes us the Backstreet Boys!"
