Howie's Humble Beginnings!
Hoke Dorough met his wife Paula during the 1950s. After they were married, they decided to settle down in the then mostly rural state of Florida and raise a family. Their dreams started coming true when they had their first child, Angie, in 1960, then Caroline in 1962, Pollyanna in 1964 and John in 1965. But in 1973, a star would be born! Little Howie Dorough, the youngest of five children, was destined to make his mark on the music scene. Coming from such a big family, it was no small feat to get some of the limelight - even if it was just from his parents! But Howie's talents were obvious from the get go. His very first "gig" was singing "Baby Face" for his grandmother at age three. It was such a memorable rendition, that the family somehow knew that Howie would have a lifelong attachment to the music. Now, a world traveler, part of a multi-platinum act, and practically a household name, like Howie D. is all grown up and has no problem getting any attention! With devoted fans all over the world, Howie Dorough is right where he's always dreamed of being!
