The Lovable Backstreet Boys
How could you not love the five guys whose voices are heard around the world, whose faces are seen in every teen magazine, who have captured the hearts of everybody?
At the World Music Awards, Nick wowed everyone by singing the Boys' acceptance speech, which turned out to be "All I Have To Give." It was a very emotional moment, in which Kevin showed his tender side. Because of Brian's surgery, only Nick, AJ, Howie and Kevin were able to attend the show and they accepted the award on behalf of Brian and Kevin almost broke down in tears. There was not a dry eye in the building. [Editor's note: at press time, STARZ! received word from a direct source that Brian had had his surgery two weeks prior, cam out with "flying colors" and was resting in an undisclosed location.]

But there is one problem with the fact that the Backstreet Boys are so lovable: everybody loves 'em! Why's that a problem? Well, because there's only five of them and there's at least one million times that many fans... you do the math and that leaves one guy to each million girls! Luckily, the Boys don't have to think about that right now because they really don't have the time to settle down into a relationship with anyone at the moment. What girlfriend (besides you, of course!) could put up with the hectic schedule that the guys keep up? Even Nick's baby bro, Aaron, said that Nick has left for a whole year. "He looked real different when he came back and I said, 'You're not my brother!" Aaron laments, "He had to show me an old picture before I'd believe him."

The disproportion also means bad news for fans who are lucky enough to get backstage passes to concerts or attend "meet and greets." As must as they'd love to, the guys can't afford to spend hours with every fan, and sometimes the most they can squeeze into the allotted time is a quick handshake, autograph or "hello." But don't think it's because they're not interested in meeting their fans, because that is the LAST thing that the BsB want their fans to think. "It's all about time..." Nick has moaned. Remember, apart from their professional lives of being on the road, in the recording studio, at photo sessions and interviews, the guys have their private lives too, and like to take advantage of any free time away from the usual chaos they can get to catch up on everyday things, like sleep and hanging out with their families.

The point is: be patient and understanding because the BsB know you're out there and are just waiting for the chance to meet you!
