Backstreet Boy Out Of Commission With Leg Injury
Last week it was the audience that needed paramedics, but this past weekend it was Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean.

The singer was hospitalized on Saturday after suffering from a strained thigh muscle. The injury occurred while performing onstage during an afternoon show with the group in Toronto at Molson Amphitheater. He was then taken to a hospital and stayed overnight for observation. McLean was then released on Sunday morning with a clean bill of health.

The Backstreet Boys were left to perform an evening show that night without McLean, as well as at a Sunday night show at Parc Des Illes in Montreal. He is expected to rejoin the group, with some limitations to his choreography, on Tuesday in Halifax, Canada at Citadel Hill.

In a statement released by the group's label, Jive Records, McLean says that he "thanks the fans for their love and support and looks forward to seeing everyone on the road."

The Backstreet Boys will be back in the U.S. on Thursday at New York's Nassau Coliseum.
