Tour Highlights... A Scrapbook
A Backstreet Boys tour is far from ordinary. In addtion to witnessing a great performance, unique dancing and harmony driven vocals, the fans sometimes create quite an impression on the youthful quintet. Here is a peek at some of the wacky adventures of the boys and their fans.

The Boys' tour bus got stuck up in the Rocky Mountains last year for several hours.

They now carry extra blankets, dried foods and other provisions on the bus in case of emergencies.

They all had the fear of a lifetime when 3,000 enthusiastic fans couldn't control themselves and ran in front of their moving jet plane in Chile. Fortunately no one was injured.

A.J. found himself caught in a massive crush of fans at Musique Plus, Montreal's own version of MTV. He managed to perform with a sprained ankle and later auctioned off his leg cast to charity.

Several crazed fans actually jumped a barbed wire fence to get into the Boys' dressing rooms during a European tour date.

The Backstreet Boys have been banned from three prominent European hotels because of the rowdy nature of their fans.

The Boys were almost forced to walk onstage at Wembley Stadium without Nick after he fell over and badly sprained his hand while attempting to meet the crowds of fans cheering them on. "It was my own fault. I was running up the stairs really fast and just fell over flat," he says. He went out and performed the show as if nothing happened, only seeking first aid afterwards.

A few years ago the band and their close friends had a "mad" Halloween party on their bus, completely decorated with fake cobwebs and lanterns!

While in Europe Howie and Kevin enjoyed trying all different types of foods as the three less culinary adventurous ate McDonald's.

Recently the boys rasied over $245,000 for tornado relief efforts in their home state of Florida. Almost 9,000 fans showed up at a benefit concert held in the parking lot of the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios. The concert was also cybercast on the Internet!

A.J. lost his favorite blanket, a child momento that his great-grandmother made for him, in a hotel in Europe.
