Not only that, we got some interesting phone messages from disgruntled former girlfriend's friends ("You fuckin' pussy!") and spent about 2 hours trying to figure out the real words to Naughy By Nature's "Hip-Hop Hooray". Plus, we spent much time "at the co-rec!"
Stan had even wrote and recorded his own gem ("Get Loose") while I was away and he was in PA. He brought it with him and invited me for a little guest shot on the remix, so we went into the studio with that and a couple other ideas, and basically spent an entire night and some additional time in the studio fuckin' around. I did a couple solo tunes, and then we worked hard on "Get Loose (Remix)" and re-did "Sax Track", and even attempted to cover "Hip-Hop Hooray" and "Holler If Ya Hear Me" as well. We also rocked some little freestyle jams and pretty much displayed general idiocy. One of the best nights of my life. :-)

Some of the solo OB jams (Off, Scream 2) were later recorded again for his next solo LP (Can't Stop) and I Can Take It later was resurrected with a new title (Bring It Strong) for New Day. The third take of Get Loose was later released on OB's second greatest hits CD, Second Bestos. We actually ran out of tape toward the end of Holler If Ya Hear Me... good thing, too 'cuz we were *seriously* fuckin' up the words.
This classic night in the history of music is now available on CD. Unfortunately, the only ever known recording of Joe Bob's A Prick has been lost forever and I Can Take It is only half intact. Everything else is there.
