This tune is a combination of a single-note ditty into a groove-laden chord jam, plus a neat progression with some wild, rockabillyska type shit at the end! Sort of.

Background:
Music: OK, there are 6 completely different funky riffs that have sorta figured out how they're all going to go together in this song. It's all over the place. The reason for the older dates (when written) is because even though the concept for the song didn't come along until May 99 or so, I decided to fuse some old riffs into the mix. Basically it's a bunch of guitar parts that I could never fit into other songs or didn't think lyrics would work for. It's a hodge podge. The potpourri of HdH songs, if you will. I decided to end it in July, when I played it out and it was over 5 min long... so it was the longest HdH song at the time! woo! And it could actually be longer, or a little shorter - depending on how "jammy" I feel at that moment.
Lyrics: trying to think of words to this tune never felt right, so fuck it - HdH's first instrumental! It's titled At The Half because that's where I wrote it. ;-) And if you have to look up the subtitle "almagamation" then do so.
* You may notice the word Given in the 6th section of the song - yes, this is in fact the earliest HdH "song" that was ever written. But it was only a single-note riff melody with two parts that had nowhere to go and hadn't changed in over a year. So it got added into the mixture and fits nicely! It's got a new home. It's happy now. The old lyrics to that song are still here, though. Actually, both my be able to co-exist.
