Agent Axis

AGENT AXIS

Agent Axis was not one, not two, but three Axis spies combined into one! During a freak storm, the plane carrying these three spies (one German, one Japanese, and one Italian) was struck by lightning. Somehow the electrical maelstrom melded the three men into one unique being. Agent Axis had the strength of all three men, and could speak the native language of each. Axis went into Hitler's service and battled Cap and the Invaders during an alliance with The Shark and The Hyena. He later turned up kidnapping Dr. Sam Sabuki from a US Japanes Relocation Center. Axis had planned to have Dr. Sabuki cure him of his three conflicting personalities, but the good doctor first insisted on saving Toro. Toro had been shot by a Nazi soldier and only Dr. Sabuki could save him. Agent Axis agreed, and ultimately wound up with Toro, Bucky, Sabuki's daughter Gwenny Lou, and the young Davy Mitchell (who was kidnapped with the others). To insure Dr. Sabuki's loyalty while operating on him, Agent Axis also hooked up Davy Mitchell and Gwenny Lou. A Power surge ruined the operation and transformed Davy and Gwenny Lou into the Human Top and Golden Girl (respectively). The other Invaders then appeared and defeated Agent Axis once again.

Agent Axis disappeared after the war, but turned up in the late '80's living in America. He was brought here by the CIA (!) after destroying Kalahia--the hidden mountain land where Bruce Dickson, the Thin Man, gained his powers. When the Thin Man discovered Axis' treachery, he tracked Axis down and suffocated him.
