Future Man was a scientist from the distant future, in a place where his people were dying. He decided to come to 20th century earth and kill everyone, so that his people could populate our planet. Once he arrived in the 20th century, he enlisted the aid of the criminal Madame Death. When the earth was his to rule, he promised her power and wealth. Together they set up traps all over the globe, one on each continent, to eradicate mankind. Unfortunately for Future Man, he hadn't planned on the intervention of the All-Winners Squad. The team split up, battling Future Man and Madame Death all over the world.

The third Captain America and the second Bucky went to post-war Europe, where Future Man had dropped a "germ-bomb." The bomb contained a future virus that killed many people in Europe. However, Cap and Bucky were able to defeat Future Man in Europe. The villain from tomorrow then attacked The Whizzer in South America with a "slow-down" ray (I swear I'm not making that up--eric); the Sub-Mariner in Asia with a torpedo created tidal wave; Miss America battled mummies in Africa; and the Human Torch and Toro stopped a man-made forest fire in North America. Each time the heroes fought Future Man, they encountered only his astral image. They were never able to actually catch Future Man and Madame Death in the flesh.

After being defeated on every continent, Future Man announced to the All-Winners Squad that he was going to call the future to send him reinforcements. Knowing they wouldn't be able to defeat an entire army of future men, the All-Winners set about finding Future Man and Madame Death's true location. Each member of the team remembered seeing a large black cloud hovering over Future Man's battle-sites, and Cap III realized the cloud must be obscuring his rocket ship. To this end the assembled Squad tracked down the large black cloud and found Future Man and Madame Death inside.

Miss America was able to easily defeat Madame Death, knocking her out with one blow, and the Human Torch destroyed Future Man's 'time radio' before he could call the future for recruits. Suddenly, as the All-Winners were about to capture Future man, Cap III ordered the team to quickly retreat from Future Man's ship. The other members were unsure of Cap III's plan, but the had learned to listen to him (much like the way they listened to the original Cap.) Cap III had actually switched the 'future' and 'past' settings on Future Man's control panel in his rocket ship. He then damaged it, so that Future Man would be unable to do the settings. When he locked the hatch and activated the machine, he found himself and the revived Madame Death hurtling non-stop into the past. They were never heard from again, and no other distant 'future-men' came back to the 20th century.

INSIDE STORY: Future Man and Madame Death appeared in the second (and final) 1940s appearance of the All-Winners Squad. While his 'hi-tech' gadgets might have seemed very futuristic in 1947, it's pretty laughable now (although I imagine that the 'slow-down ray' and 'time-radio' got some chuckles back then, too). While there will hopefully be some All-Winners Squad stories told in the, ahem, future, the Future Man/Madame Death adventure, plus the first All-Winners story with Isbisa and the 1977 Adam-II tale, is pretty much all we know about the All-Winners Squad.
