Villains Of The Golden Age!

THE FOX

The Fox was actually Jasper Whifflegrass, a fur trader operating in Alaska. To avoid paying customs and sales taxes, Jasper loaded his furs into small motorized torpedoes and sent them through an underground stream from Alaska to Seattle, Washington.

When the Sub-Mariner heard from the unemployed longshoremen in Seattle about the illegal shipments, he decided to investigate. Namor discovered the Fox' underground stream and followed it until he discovered the Fox, in a small submarine. Realizing he had no chance against Namor, the Fox jumped back into his submarine and returned to his headquarters in Alaska. Namor trailed him, and busted up his fur-smuggling operation. Sub-Mariner handed the Fox over to U.S. customs, and he was never heard from again.

KAI-MAK, LORD OF THE DEEP

Kai-Mak was a shark beast that was worshipped by the jungle tribe the Zambui. He terrorized them for years, demanding sacrifices. To appease Kai-Mak's hunger, the tribe captured a scientist and his daughter who were on safari in the jungle. They were bound and left by the lagoon to be offered to Kai-Mak, when the Vision arose from the smoke of a Zambui bonfire. The Vision was overcome by the savages and was tied up with the two scientists. When Kai-Mak arrived, the Vision challenged him to a battle. In an effort to prove he was stronger than any mortal (although the Vision isn't a mortal anyway), Kai-Mak agreed. They battled in the water, until eventually the Vision used his great strength to rip Kai-Mak's powerful jaws apart. After killing the monster, the Vision freed the scientists. The tribe, at long last freed from the curse of Kai-Mak, praised the Vision for saving them and gladly let him go.
