Mojo History
(From the inside of Violated digipack)

When I met Bonz I knew what a tremendous talent he was.  It was 1990 and Heavy Metal Music in the States was dying a slow painful death.  My heroes, Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Dio, etc., were playing much smaller venues.  Radio play was limited to late weekend nights and MTV refused to acknowledge their existence.  They had been replaced by the well groomed, easy to swallow likes of Poison, Warrant, and Enuff-z-Nuff.  They sickened me with their pink guitars, goofy outfits and the most vomit inducing lyrics I had ever heard.  I wanted music that was in your face.  Something real that rebelled against goofy pink guitars.  That is when I discovered Public Enemy and the new hardcore rap movement.  It was fresh and it was honest.  Back then I was playing in this really cool band.  We were heavy and we grooved our ass off, but we lacked direction and personality.  Enter Bonz...  We met at Pizza Hut.  Bonz was a cook and I was a driver.  All day long this guy would rap while he made pizzas.  It drove me CRAZY!  As time went on, I started to listen to him and realize that this guy was amazing.  One day I asked him if he was happy making pizza, and if not would he consider coming over and jamming' with my band.  I was thinking that having a rapper would be cool with our singer.  It took two months to convince Bonz to come over but he finally made it.  We gave him a mic and started jammin.  Bonz blew us the fuck away.  That night we fired our singer and became what we thought was the first rap-metal crossover group.  We started playing shows in the Atlanta club scene and a year 1/2 later we were picked up by an incredible management team.  They immediately put us on the road an began touring us hard.  Stuck Mojo is so lucky because we have the coolest fans in the world.  I have met so many crazy people.  In October, 1994 we signed with Century Media Records.  In March 1995 we released Snappin' Necks.  There are so many people that have played key roles in the success of Stuck Mojo and we love and thank each and every one of you.  If you own Snappin' Necks we hope you dig it and we are grateful for your support.  This EP contains 3 new songs that were recorded as a buildup to the next Stuck Mojo release due out in the fall of 1996, and some cool live songs we recorded during our 95-96 US tour.  We are excited about the release of this new stuff and we hope you dig it.  People are always asking us where we stand on social and political issues.  Here it is.  There are no menial jobs, just menial workers.  Take pride in doing a good days work no matter what it is.  It takes all kinds of people doing all kinds of jobs to make the world go round.  If you are not happy with your life it's no ones fault but your own.  Be accountable for your own actions, follow you dreams, believe in yourself and create your future based on good work ethics and integrity.  The only limitations you have are the ones you place on yourself.  As far as politics we urge you to get involved and find out what your representatives and local leaders stand for.  If they do not represent your point of view and your value system then vote them out and elect the one that best serves you.  Don't believe what your friends tell you or the lies that are sometimes told by the media.  Find out for yourself and get involved.  It's your country.  Take the power back to the people where it belongs.
