FRAMEZ:I'll have to agree with you on Spice World, yes it probably will be a big grosser, but I'm not sure everyone has the same enthusism to go see it as you.
MCF: You know you'll see it. You'll go to the 10pm show on a Tuesday night, wearing a disguise and hoping no one will recognize you. Admit it.
FRAMEZ: Nope. Never. LOL. Moving on; tell us about your web page.
MCF: What about it?
FRAMEZ: Well, it's pretty daring to put up your screenplay's...
MCF: No, it's not at all. I doubt anyone will abuse the screenplays, and if they do.... we'll use their stupidity to finance our next feature! =-) No, I beleive that screenplays are an important resource for people. I think they help you understand the film, the director, the writer, etc... I don't know why people freak about screenplay's winding up on the net. I realize that some studio's and production houses release the screenplay as a book, but that's always a "script", not a screenplay. I would rather read the first draft of something, then watch the completed film, and go, "Shit! That was different!" as opposed to reading the "final draft". Take for example, subUrbi@. Go to your local Barnes and Noble and look at the book. They call that a screenplay???
FRAMEZ: Yeah, I've seen it. It's more like a play, then a screenplay.
MCF: Right! And on the fucking cover it says something like, "The original screenplay to Richard..." and when you open it, you're like, "That's a fucking play! Not a screenplay! Where is the action?!? Where are the scene descriptions!?!?"
FRAMEZ: Well, this has been an, um, interesting, conversation. But I'm afrad we must draw it to an end.
MCF: Just when I'm starting to make sense I get cut off! Always! LOL!
FRAMEZ: Maybe another time?
MCF: Well, you know where I live.
FRAMEZ: Maybe next time we'll do the phone thing.
MCF:>/B> I'd say call collect, but I wouldn't accept it. I ain't rich yet!
FRAMEZ: So before we go, what's next for you? Anything we should be looking for in the near feature?
MCF: No, not really. Right now, we're (Elektrik Coma Filmworks FTD --ed) in pre-production for a short 10 minute film (to be shot on Beta) and a our first feature (84 mins at max) called The Hot One, which we're planning on Super 16. Other than that, we're pretty dormant right now. Just trying to get all of our shot together. It's hard to try to run a production house when two of the main figures (Michael Defilippo and Dylan Trivette --ed) are in a different city. Hopefully we'll do a couple local comercials to make some money and get free publicity.
FRAMEZ: Well, thank you for the time and all that. It was fun.
MCF: Anytime.
